Playa de las Américas

It suits travelers who want nightlife without needing a taxi, plus beaches, shopping and surfing by day. Value can be better than in Costa Adeje, but noise, dense development and a party atmosphere come with it.
Los Cristianos
This flat, convenient resort town has Playa de Los Cristianos, the Avenida Juan Carlos I promenade, plentiful restaurants and many holiday apartments around the harbor. Ferries to La Gomera and boat tours depart here, and bus links across the south are good. It is less polished than Costa Adeje, with daytime traffic and congestion around the port and main roads.
Puerto de la Cruz
In the greener north, you get lanes around Plaza del Charco, the Lago Martiánez seawater pools and black-sand Playa Jardín, plus hotels such as Hotel Botánico. It is an excellent base for La Orotava, Anaga and Loro Parque, with more authentic Canarian character than the south. Weather is cloudier and wetter, and reaching the southern beaches or Siam Park usually takes more than an hour.
La Laguna and Santa Cruz

From the airport
Most holidaymakers land at Tenerife South Airport (TFS): an official taxi to Costa Adeje or Las Américas costs about ₪110-160 and takes 15–25 minutes, while Los Cristianos is roughly ₪90-130. A prebooked shuttle normally costs ₪35-75 per person, and TITSA buses 40 or 111 cost about ₪15-40 depending on destination and take 30–60 minutes. From Tenerife North Airport (TFN), a taxi to Santa Cruz or La Laguna costs approximately ₪65-100 and takes 15–25 minutes; for the south, a connecting bus or rental car is preferable and takes around 60–90 minutes.
