Arenella

It works well for Israeli families wanting sea and pool time by day with evening trips into Ortigia. A car is nearly essential, dining choices are narrower and the beach gets crowded in July and August.
Fontane Bianche
The pale sandy strip around Viale dei Lidi is the local answer to a beach break, with clubs such as Kukua Beach and turquoise water on calm days. White Bay Resort suits guests who want to wake almost on the shoreline, and summer feels livelier than Arenella. Outside the season the village becomes very quiet, while Ortigia is a 25-to-35-minute drive away.
Plemmirio and Isola
