Getting around
From the airport
Most flights from Israel land at Larnaca or Paphos, with Limassol roughly between them. From Larnaca, the Limassol Airport Express costs about ₪40-50 and takes 50-60 minutes, while a private taxi typically costs ₪240-320 and takes 45-55 minutes; from Paphos, a taxi is around ₪220-300 and takes 45-55 minutes. The shuttle does not provide hotel-door service, so an additional taxi may be needed from its stop.
Need a car?
A car is unnecessary for a city-and-beach stay in the Marina, Neapolis, Dasoudi, or Germasogeia. Renting one for a day or two is worthwhile for Kourion, the wine villages, Omodos, the Troodos Mountains, and Pissouri; Cyprus drives on the left, and central parking can be frustrating.
Tips
Bus 30 follows the coastal corridor, linking the Marina, center, Dasoudi, Germasogeia, and the hotel district. Taxis are less plentiful than in Tel Aviv, so at night or for airport transfers it is best to prebook through the hotel or an active local taxi app.
