Mergellina and Posillipo

From Capodichino Airport, the Alibus reaches Napoli Centrale in about 15-25 minutes and Molo Beverello in 35-45 minutes, costing roughly ₪20 per person. Official taxis generally offer fixed fares of around ₪75-95 to the central station or historic center and ₪100-130 to Chiaia, depending on the exact destination and supplements, with journeys taking 15-35 minutes. Uber mainly supplies pre-booked NCC chauffeur vehicles and can cost more than a regular taxi, around ₪110-200; pre-arranged private transfers usually cost ₪130-220 per vehicle. There is no direct rail link from the terminal, so train passengers must first reach Napoli Centrale by bus or taxi.
Need a car?
Within Naples, the answer is no: ZTL restricted zones, one-way streets, dense traffic, and expensive parking make a car a burden, while the metro, funiculars, and walking work better. Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Sorrento are reachable by train, while Capri and Ischia are served by ferry. A car mainly suits families continuing into Amalfi Coast villages or the countryside, and should be collected only when leaving Naples; couples and groups often prefer a private driver on the Amalfi Coast because of the narrow SS163 road and scarce parking.

Use appTaxi or Consortaxi Napoli’s phone service or app to request and pay for taxis, and always insist on the meter or confirm the fixed tariff beforehand.
